Batesburg-Leesville — Following an executive-session legal briefing, the Town Council voted on March 31 to approve the second reading of an ordinance authorizing a property transfer and to accept a lease agreement with Eau Claire Cooperative Health.
Councilmember Prowse moved to approve the second reading and accept the agreement presented during executive session; the motion was seconded and carried by unanimous vote. The motion’s public text recorded at the meeting was: "Move that we adopt, or approve second reading of the ordinance for the property transfer, and so adopting, accept the agreement that was presented to us in Executive Session." The council recorded yes votes from all district members present and from the mayor.
