Committee hears update on Tiburon Fire District annexation study and discusses wildfire insurance options for Belvedere residents

Staff also provided brief updates that the city’s user-fee study is progressing and will go to the full City Council first for a policy decision on cost-recovery approach before returning to the finance committee for implementation details; and that the city is beginning preliminary discussion about a long-term capital improvements plan similar to one Mill Valley completed, which would model needs and fiscal capacity over a long horizon.
No formal vote was taken on the annexation consultant selection or the wildfire/insurance study at this meeting; staff will return with more detailed scopes, cost information and timelines.
