The Glocester Town Council elected Councilor Will Worthy as council president and Councilor Walt Steer as vice president during its Jan. 2, 2025 organizational meeting.

The nominations were made and seconded, the deputy town clerk conducted a roll call, and each nomination passed with recorded ayes from the councilors present. The council then moved to adjourn.

The votes came early in the meeting during routine organizational business. A councilor moved to nominate Will Worthy for council president; another councilor seconded. The deputy town clerk called the roll for that vote; Councilor Walt Steer, Councilor Burlingame, Councilor Grayhouse, Councilor Will Worthy and Councilor Khaleesi were recorded as voting aye and the motion passed. Later the council moved to nominate Walt Steer as vice president; that motion was seconded and passed by roll call with the same aye votes recorded. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn was made and seconded and the chair declared the motion approved.
