Commissioners approve consent agenda including multiple contracts, software purchases and JFS agreements

- Axon Enterprise: digital-evidence and discovery management system for the prosecutor ($1,050,000 over five years) and the public defender ($1,014,000 over five years). - Galls LLC: a two-year contract for uniforms and equipment for the sheriff’s office (total $6,000,000). - Buckeye Construction: waterproofing and concrete ceiling work at Great American Ballpark (amount cited on the record). - Insight Public Sector: amendment for active-directory migration services for Common Pleas Court ($887,000). - Recruitment Strategies LLC: consulting services for the sheriff ($665,000). - A community-based event grant program with participating municipalities ($250,000 total).
Job & Family Services items 19–30 included multiple group-home, family-placement and independent-living agreements with providers such as Adonai’s Haven of Rest, My Brother’s Keeper, Lighthouse Youth Services, United Methodist Children’s Home, Beach Acres Parenting Center and Legacy Residential Homes; several of those contracts carried multi-hundred-thousand-dollar values as listed on the agenda.
Commissioner Alicia Reese asked about a purchase-order item for appraisal services and confirmed that the vendor named for that PO is a new vendor for the auditor’s office. Reese said she wants to monitor a prior vendor with a history of higher appraisals and anticipates reviewing that supplier when its contract comes up.
Two votes were recorded for the consent agenda motions; the board approved the consent items as presented. Commissioners also approved two separate motions to receive certain documents for the record.
