For LB390, staff said the district already uses an inventory program (Destiny) that provides parent access to the library catalog and that current district tools already provide the transparency the bill asks for; if the bill proceeds, staff said the district would codify the process in policy language.
District representatives said they had met with legislators (including Sen. Hughes and Sen. Merman) and planned further meetings to continue discussing option enrollment and related proposals. No formal board action on legislation was requested at the meeting; staff presented the update to solicit direction and provide context for forthcoming legislative activity.
