The Decatur County Area Planning Commission voted to forward APC petition 2025-7 — a repeal of Article 9, section 9-40-3(b) and (c) of the county zoning ordinance — to the Decatur County commissioners following a second-reading motion.
Staff said the repeal moves the survey requirement regarding septic-site location and reference boundary lines to another location in the ordinance; the change was discussed at the prior meeting and staff reported no substantive changes since first reading. Commissioners asked no substantive questions during the second-reading vote.
A motion to send petition 2025-7 to the county commissioners was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The commission recorded the motion as carried and closed discussion on that item.
