North Hills committee approves summer fees, donations, police MOUs and 3,600‑iPad purchase; handbooks pass with dress‑code dissent

The North Hills School District Board of Education Committee on April 3 voted to add several education, finance and community items to the legislative meeting agenda and approved personnel, donations and policy items for referral to the full board.

The committee approved memoranda of understanding (MOUs) between the district and Ross Township and Westview Police Departments. The administration noted the Pennsylvania Department of Education Office of Safe Schools requires that school entities execute and file MOUs with jurisdictional police departments on a biennial basis in odd‑numbered years.
