The director said the office is supervising 16 offenders who reside in surrounding counties and has completed 78 intakes to date. The director also reported 12 warrants requested in the first quarter.
Collections and project income were discussed. The director reported March collections of $52,010 and stated project income totaled $641,845.08. The director said the board previously approved a $20,000 transfer for the building project and that additional allocations for flooring and other remodel work may be requested if estimates exhaust the current reappropriated funds.
On renovations and timeline, the director said, "We're gonna start a renovation pretty quick on that," and explained that ACCS needs about two days to install data lines in the new building. The director said staff were hoping for "mid June at the latest" for the move, with only about a one-month overlap paying rent on both locations.
The director also noted the agency planned to use volunteer hours from supervised clients for demolition and moving tasks to reduce costs, and mentioned a possible incentive of additional pass hours for clients who assist with the move. The board did not vote on additional renovation allocations during the meeting; the director indicated he might return to the board if further funds are required.
Board members asked clarifying questions about timing and the need for ACCS work; the director repeated the dependence on ACCS scheduling and the priority status of the annex. No formal action was taken on facility funding or on changing program operations during this portion of the meeting.
