The committee then opened public comment on the draft minutes. Pat Irvin, an RN and patient-safety commenter, said she believed a line in the draft minutes mischaracterized remarks about who controlled certain injunctive terms; she asked that staff confirm the recording. Chair Maria Serpa directed staff to review the recording and, with counsel, make corrections as appropriate.
The committee took a roll-call vote. Renee Barker, Sung Oh, Ricardo Sanchez, Nicole Thibault and Chair Maria Serpa all voted yes. The motion carried and the minutes were approved with the instruction that staff confirm and amend the quoted language if required by the recording; no additional substantive changes were made at the meeting.
