Motions to open and later adjourn the regular business meeting were made and seconded; the board recessed into and later reopened from an executive session to discuss personnel, student and contractual matters. Minutes from the March 19, 2025 business meeting were approved by motion and voice vote.
On consent, the board approved the personnel report (resignations, retirements, temporary appointments and other certificated and noncertificated personnel actions), an administrative report that included approval of an eleventh-grade student's travel to an ISEF competition in Columbus, Ohio, several donations and scholarship acceptances, and CSE/CPSE recommendations. The finance and facilities report was approved on consent and listed engineering services, piggybacking on a Bayshore Union Preschool District bid for building maintenance, volunteer-driver appointments, multiple health-services contracts with neighboring districts, appropriation transfers and special testing and inspection services.
Board members recorded unanimous voice approval for these consent items during the meeting; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
The board also noted three upcoming retirements (Emily Globat, Nancy Digue and Christina Cod) that will be recognized at the June meeting. The next scheduled meeting is April 22 at Lewis M. Klein Middle School.
