As part of the same agenda item, the board approved a $1 increase to public‑skate admission for residents and non‑residents, effective for the August 11 opening, to help cover higher ice costs; skateboard pass packages were left unchanged. The $1 increase raised resident and nonresident public‑skate rates by approximately 14–15 percent, per the presenter.
