Elgin City Council approved an amendment to an engineering-services contract so the city remains in compliance with the Texas General Land Office (GLO) grant requirements.
City staff said the amendment adds attachments A through G to TRC's contract as required by the GLO for grant 24-065-100-E832 (Method of Distribution โ general head office grant). Craig Bell of TRC Engineers and Allison (GrantWorks) attended the meeting for questions. During discussion, a council member asked whether federal funding reductions could affect the projects; Allison said the city will move projects and obligate funds as quickly as possible but acknowledged uncertainty about future federal funding decisions. The council moved, seconded and approved the contract amendment.
The transcript records the motion and recorded affirmative votes; no contract dollar amounts or detailed schedule were provided in the meeting record.
