Shasta D. Dr. Jeff Collum, superintendent of Conway Public Schools, said the district’s maintenance team would provide materials and labor where feasible and that the project had already been delayed a year.
Representative Evans commended the district’s process and the use of local vendors. The committee approved the waiver by voice vote; no roll-call tally was provided. The request cited Arkansas Code Annotated §19-11-249(d) as the statutory basis for exceeding the cooperative purchasing aggregate.
