Planning commission accepts Fleet Farm compliance update, amends resolution to note site is in compliance

The Muskego City Plan Commission on April 2 amended and approved a one-time review resolution for Fleet Farm, resolving that outstanding exterior items identified after the store's temporary occupancy inspection had been corrected and that the site was in compliance as of the meeting.
Adam (staff member) told commissioners the one-time review originally required because the store had not received final occupancy found the store had addressed several minor exterior noncompliance issues, including storage behind the building (pallets, carts and vendor racks), merchandise placement near fuel pumps and an exterior ice bin that did not match the building color. Adam recommended adding a “resolve” clause to the resolution acknowledging Fleet Farm's compliance.
Commission discussion included whether to convert the one-time review into an annual review going forward. A commissioner suggested an annual visit might be beneficial; staff said the resolution as written ends the one-time review. The commission amended the resolution to include Adam's suggested language that the site was in compliance as of the meeting date and then voted to approve the motion as amended. The vote passed unanimously.
No complaints were reported to staff during the year; the issues were carried from the temporary-occupancy inspection and were described by staff as "very minor items."
