The North Providence Town Council approved a package of ordinances, licenses, resolutions and administrative referrals and set follow-up actions on several neighborhood matters at its meeting.
Key decisions taken by the council included passage of three ordinances, approval of two resolutions and multiple referrals to the ordinance committee for parking and licensing concerns. The council also approved an outdoor dining license for a 5 Guys restaurant, accepted a resignation from the planning board, made several board appointments and scheduled a special meeting to finalize the Colletti Farm design.
Passed ordinances and resolutions - Ordinance 25-003 (amending Chapter 19, Article 10, section 19-30 regarding no-parking rules on Redfern Street): passed after a council motion and second. Referrals and committee actions - Resident-only parking requests (multiple): The council referred resident-only parking requests to the ordinance committee for further review and for development of appropriate signage and ordinances.
