Committee members reviewed a calendar of upcoming public events and outreach opportunities that relate to CPC projects and community engagement.
Kristen listed several dates: a rededication at Moore's Veil Veterans Park scheduled for March 29 at 3 p.m., a Cooper Park ribbon cutting on May 9 at 4:30 p.m., and the Tyler Lawrence Memorial Playground dedication at the airport on May 16 at 1 p.m. The committee also noted a Palante community presentation at Emerald City on April 5 and an appointed/elected-officials training on open-meeting and conflict-of-interest laws at the senior center on April 12. Members volunteered to represent the CPC at selected events and to coordinate QR-content for park kiosks and ribbon-cutting materials.
Volunteer-led park cleanups were announced for El Avizos Park (Endicott Street) and Cooper Park as part of a watershed cleanup; organizers requested about 20 volunteers at each site for the 9 a.m.–noon shifts. Kristen said she would circulate the schedule and follow-up details by email.
