The Town of Norwood Community Preservation Committee discussed participation in the townwide comprehensive plan outreach on March 26 and agreed members will submit individual comments rather than produce a single CPC group response.
Deb (committee member and organizer of an external "meeting in a box") described plans to convene a community session and asked whether CPC should participate as a group. Several members — including Joe Sheehan and John Hall — recommended that CPC members provide their own written comments and that staff circulate the meeting-in-a-box prompts in advance so members can prepare. "If we only have our CPC member add on, like, we're a clearing house. We're not a we don't initiate projects," one member said; others agreed the committee should make individual submissions and not present a formal CPC-sponsored meeting-in-a-box.
Kristen agreed to circulate the meeting-in-a-box materials and the comprehensive-plan links and asked members to review them before the April 9 meeting if they wish to discuss. Deb said she will proceed with her public meeting-in-a-box session for residents who are not members of boards; the committee supported that outreach but declined to produce a formal group submission.
