County approves Black Cat Antiques special-use permit with online-auction condition

Planning staff told the Planning Commission that draft conditions limit any auction activity to online-only formats and require that scheduled customer pick-ups be spread over a designated period to keep traffic flow manageable; no live auctions on site were recommended because of ingress/egress and parking constraints.
Planning Commissioners said they had already addressed questions in two prior workshops and recommended approval with the conditions described above. The Planning Commission’s motion to forward case SUDash02Dash25Dash2 to the Board of Supervisors for approval carried with a second and a positive vote.
At the Board meeting, a motion to approve the special-use permit as presented by the Planning Commission was made, seconded and approved. No public commenters spoke against the application at the public hearing.
Staff noted the parcel has sufficient parking and that the applicant indicated no further changes were planned. The Board’s approval binds the property to the conditions adopted by the Planning Commission and recorded in the permit packet.
