Committee approves CDBG and HOME budget adjustments after reconciliation of 2024 entitlement and program income

Nicole Anderson, director of community development, told the committee that the county received less entitlement funding than originally budgeted for 2025 and requested adjustments to reflect actual 2024 allocations. The items approved included a total entitlement decrease of $278,311.71 (a $67,859 decrease for CDBG and a $210,452.71 decrease for HOME); a program-income adjustment decreasing the combined 2025 program-income budget by $91,637.94 (CDBG program income increase of $15,266.56 and HOME program income decrease of $106,904.50); and a separate program-income increase of $40,420.76 for 2023 HOME program income.
Anderson characterized the changes as routine annual reconciliations that “actualize” the budget to amounts the county received. Committee members asked no substantive follow-up questions during the discussion. Each item passed on voice vote with no opposition recorded.
