Council recognizes National Donate Life Month; Donor Alliance highlights donor registration and waiting-list figures

Donor Alliance said roughly 150 people in Wyoming remain on transplant waiting lists and that tissue donors provided more than 100,000 tissue grafts in the past year; those numbers were presented by the organization during the council presentation.
Council members thanked the group and accepted the proclamation honoring donors, donor families and transplant recipients. Councilor Kelsey Sweeney noted the role of former Senator Phil Nicholas and former District Attorney Blonigan in advancing the drivers-license portion of the donor-registration process at the state legislature.
