The board allowed staff latitude to schedule the items earlier if they become substantially complete.
Because the two matters are technically linked, the board discussed handling them together. A board member noted the parties had requested earlier continuances and said the board should set a firm date for public notice. Planning staff recommended a date in May to give applicants time to complete peer-review and engineering responses.
Board member Jeff moved to continue both Cascade Road items to May 20, with an amendment permitting staff to place the items on an earlier agenda if the applications are substantially complete; the motion passed unanimously. The board instructed staff to monitor completeness so that, should materials arrive earlier, the public will have an opportunity to see an earlier hearing date.
Next steps: applicants will submit pending materials and respond to peer-review comments; staff will notify the public and the board when materials are complete or ahead of the May 20 continuation date.
