Committee renews education contract with watershed trust for MS4 outreach at $20,250

Staff said the contract fulfills required education and outreach tasks under the MS4 permit (municipal separate storm sewer system). The Watershed Trust is a nonprofit that delivers materials, social-media content, event tabling and metrics reports that municipalities use to meet annual permit-reporting requirements.
Committee members noted the contract has grown in cost since the program’s early years but acknowledged the work is specialized and outside the village’s in-house capacity. Staff said municipalities receive an end-of-year report with metrics that the village uses in its MS4 reporting.
A motion to approve the contract passed by voice vote; the transcript records the result as unanimous.
