Toth said Senior and Adult Services is reviewing its transit policy after transit costs to the agency ran about $150,000 last year. She said the agency does not plan to delete approved rides but will look at tightening frequency for trips to places such as grocery stores (for example, paying for one trip per week rather than multiple trips per week), while keeping options for riders to travel more frequently if needed.
Toth also said training for the senior farmers market nutrition program has begun, with program applications expected to roll out in late April or early May, and that the Brunswick Senior Expo held March 26 had more than 380 attendees and over 60 vendors. She announced a dedication ceremony to rename a courtyard shelter the Parker Pavilion.
