Brenda Root, chair of the Allegany County Planning and Economic Development Committee, said the committee approved reappropriation of unspent funds for the county Trail Master Plan grant so the project can be finished this year.
Kira Durham, Allegany County director of planning, told the committee that the money “had to be carried over to this year.” The committee then moved the item, a committee member seconded (“Ilya, second”), and the committee approved the reappropriation by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript.
The reappropriation covers funds awarded in the prior year and carried forward to complete the Trail Master Plan. Durham said the county expects the plan to be completed during the current year and therefore does not anticipate another reappropriation for the item.
The committee recorded the action as a formal motion and approved it by voice vote; the meeting did not provide a detailed roll-call of how each member voted.
