Olivette approves agreement to join St. Louis County interoperable radio system; becomes Ordinance 2807

On second reading Tuesday evening, the Olivette City Council approved a user agreement to join the St. Louis County interoperable radio system and authorized the mayor to execute the agreement. The motion carried unanimously and Bill 30‑36 was enacted as Ordinance 2807.
A police lieutenant appeared for the second reading to answer technical questions about the system. The lieutenant described the agreement as the countywide emergency communications system developed by the St. Louis County Emergency Communications Commission.
The council voted yes: Council member Clark, Council member Weil, Chairman Pro Tem Knox and Mayor Waldman. The ordinance will allow Olivette’s public safety agencies to operate on the countywide radio network under the user agreement terms.
