Councilors were directed that the comment period must close and the council must consider the ordinance readings in June for the July 1 effective date. Staff said additional materials and code books are available at City Hall and on the city's website for residents who want to review the proposed changes.
No formal vote occurred on the code changes during the meeting; the council's next steps are to receive public comments, review staff revisions, and then act on the ordinance readings in June.
