Safe Streets for All safety action plan — approved 6-0. The board approved the final draft of the county's safety action plan (final draft presented by Public Works), enabling eligibility for future federal grants that require an adopted plan.
Southwire memorandum of understanding (Waco exit) — approved 6-0. The board approved an MOU that estimates a 1.2 million-square-foot distribution facility with a projected $145 million capital investment and 250 new or retained jobs; the MOU includes a 10-year abatement schedule, clawbacks and an internal audit process. Parties stated that approximately 70% of the facility footprint lies in Carroll County and 30% in Haralson County.
Appointment to Water Authority (District 5) — approved 6-0. Commissioner Ben Hicks nominated Tyler Walls to fill a vacancy on the water authority created by the death of Barry Huff; the board confirmed the appointment.
