Councilor Debs told the Disabilities Commission she expects to interview and recommend Asher Henricks for appointment to the Disabilities Commission and that the commission's quorum will be strengthened if the appointment proceeds.
Debs also reported that the City Services Committee will hold a meeting with Department of Public Works Director Donald Escalia and Police Chief John Cartlidge to discuss enforcement of Northampton's snow ordinance following a recent storm. The meeting will be held Monday at 4:30 p.m.; it will be available both in City Council chambers and via Zoom. Debs described the session as a conversation rather than a decision-making meeting and said the committee may later recommend actions to the full City Council.
Commission members welcomed the committee meeting and were encouraged that DPW and the Police Department will brief the committee; no formal action or changes to the Disabilities Commission's work program were taken at the meeting.
