Laura Christiansen, Gallatin County health officer, told commissioners the award will be used to expand home visiting services and that staff have presented a plan for spending the award; remaining grant funds will be reflected in the FY26 startup budget. Commissioners commended staff for their work securing the grant and noted that home visiting provides additional support and check-ins for new mothers and young families.
The commission approved resolution 2025-024 by voice vote with no recorded opposition. No changes to program eligibility or scope were made at the meeting; staff will implement the spending plan as outlined in the grant documentation and in future budget materials.
