Commissioners and staff discussed that contract costs rose compared with prior arrangements, reflecting increased local salaries and market pay levels; staff advised that bringing the service back in-house would likely be more costly than contracting. One commissioner referenced a now-resolved communication complaint from an earlier year in which a payer’s payment and an arrest order were not coordinated; staff said that issue was discussed and appears resolved.
