The manager said he and JP are working aggressively on the application, which is due in about a month, and that the project is nearing the end of design. Staff said the next steps include obtaining easements from business owners and neighbors before putting the work out to bid. The manager noted that funds have come "down through the pipeline through the governor's office" and that the borough believes the project is well positioned because designs are largely complete.
No dollar amount for the requested grant was provided at the caucus meeting. Council will consider a resolution on the grant application at a future meeting.
