The Mount Vernon Industrial Development Agency on Feb. 13 adopted minutes from its Jan. 9 meeting, accepted a January financial report and approved payment of several invoices, the agency said.
Board members said the actions were routine but emphasized continuing collection of outstanding PILOT and administrative fees that the agency is pursuing.
Agency officers approved the minutes by roll call with Chair Mayor Sean Patterson Howard absent; Treasurer Darren Morton, Member Stephanie Vanderpool and Member Brian Johnson voted in favor. The financial report presented to the board showed reported January income of $538,387 (including $273 in interest), salary expenditures of $8,403 and a net earnings figure read aloud as $529,009.84. The presenter also reported multiple account balances by category including an escrow account, a pilot account and an operating account; the pilot account figure was read as $912,000.84 and payables were read as $22,007.99. The presenter said four pilot payments remained outstanding and that the accountant was contacting those payors.
The board next considered a resolution to pay invoices listed on the agenda and to add a recently received $285 invoice from RBT CPAs for an audit-related lease/software item. The board approved an amendment to include the RBT CPAs invoice and then adopted the amended resolution by roll call. Specific invoices described in the meeting included Valuation Plus for $14,250 for property appraisals, Harris Beach Murtha (December 2024 and January 2025 invoices, amount not specified in the discussion), a New York State and Local Retirement System contribution read as $10,170, and a $18.90 JPMorgan Chase charge for filing 2024 1099 forms. The presenter said some of the appraisal fees would be drawn from an escrow account tied to a transaction and then replenished by the project sponsor.
No additional public actions or changes to policy were taken. Members asked procedural questions about how the city-administered health insurance sub-account works for agency employees and emphasized avoiding late-payment penalties for the retirement contribution.
The agency recorded roll-call votes on each motion with Treasurer Darren Morton, Member Stephanie Vanderpool and Member Brian Johnson voting Aye and Chair Sean Patterson Howard absent.
