Commission endorses amendment to Article 4 to limit drive‑thru uses in PMUDs

City staff member Hunter Martin explained the amendment as a cleanup to limit drive‑thru food and beverage uses so they are permitted in the Wildwood Center but not in other PMUD areas; the revision also carries landscaping and design requirements that were added in an earlier ordinance update. "We're trying to clean that up to restrict it," Martin said.
Commissioners had no substantial objections and the motion to recommend the amendment to council passed unanimously in roll call.
The recommendation will proceed to city council for public hearing and final action under the city’s ordinance amendment procedures.
Because this is an amendment to the zoning ordinance, council action will be required to make the change effective.
