Acting Public Works Director Josh Moritz said bids opened March 25 produced a single responsive bid from American Asphalt. He said most unit prices were only about 1–2% higher than the previous year despite expectations of larger increases. The work includes pulverize, mill‑in‑place and overlay projects across city programs and several lumped items such as cemetery and trail repaving; a developer‑led project was included so the developer may use the citywide contract at the negotiated price as described in a development agreement.
The board approved the contract and authorized execution of an agreement not to exceed budgeted funding.
