Chester County forms opioid funding committee; first spending decisions not yet made

The presiding commissioner said the committee has met twice and had invited a representative from UT State Services, named in the record as Courtney Collier, to advise on spending strategies.
No specific programs or grants had been selected at the time of the update. The presiding commissioner said the county has not spent any of the money yet and that one pool of funds includes roughly $68,000 that must be spent by the end of the fiscal period referenced in the meeting. He said he would provide a further update at the next meeting on recommended uses and any requests for county action.
