The Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance authorizing the city to contract with Diligent Corporation for the Diligent Community platform, a board-management and committee/policy-publishing package.
A city staff presenter described the platform as an upgrade to the current BoardDocs product, saying the vendor will migrate existing materials and that the migration and implementation process takes about 90 days. “The cost of the upgrade is $2,000 more per year than what we currently pay for BoardDocs,” the presenter said. The meeting record identifies the previous BoardDocs cost as $12,000 per year and the new platform cost as $14,000 per year.
A motion to perfect Bill 6540 into ordinance form passed on roll call. The clerk recorded the ordinance number as 5168. Officials said migration would start in March if the agreement is approved and that training opportunities will be offered to board members and staff.
