Brentwood adopts agreement to use St. Louis County subscriber radio system

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Brentwood on a unanimous vote approved an ordinance authorizing the mayor to sign a user agreement for subscriber radios with the St. Louis County Emergency Communications Commission.
The ordinance, read aloud during the meeting as “An ordinance of the City of Brentwood, Missouri authorizing the Mayor to enter into and execute the attached user agreement for subscriber radios with St. Louis County Emergency Communications Commission and providing for the effective date of this ordinance,” was perfected and approved by roll call. The mayor asked for a motion to perfect Bill 6539 in ordinance form, and aldermen voted in favor. The clerk recorded the outcome as “Bill 6539 will become ordinance number 5167.”
Supporters said the measure will allow Brentwood to participate in the county radio system under a subscriber arrangement. No further financial terms were discussed on the record during the meeting.
The vote was recorded by roll call with all present aldermen voting yes. The ordinance becomes effective under the city’s normal ordinance-adoption procedures.
