Commissioners discussed representation at a Pacific Power fire-season kickoff workshop and asked staff to coordinate attendance.
Julie Lawrence said Pacific Power is scheduling a one-hour outreach workshop at 9 a.m. on either April 29 or April 30 to review public notification and coordination with fire agencies and dispatch centers. Commissioner McKinney said she will be in Washington, D.C., for an advocacy trip and cannot attend. Commissioner Lindy said she could attend on April 29 and suggested that if commissioners were unavailable, Tony Miller from county staff should attend and report back.
Lawrence framed the workshop as part of Pacific Power’s public outreach and fire-preparation communications. Commissioners did not take formal action; they asked staff to confirm attendance and requested any feedback be shared after the event.
