Brad Island, representing planning and development staff, told the board the rezoning would remove the seasonal cabin and recreational overlay to accommodate a proposed private campground on the property. Island said the case went before the Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 17 and that no public feedback was received at that hearing; he also said the county had received no public comments during the first two readings of the ordinance.
During the hearing, a board member confirmed no new public comment had arrived since the second reading and said their earlier questions had been answered. The board moved to approve the ordinance; a voice vote recorded the motion as carried.
The ordinance will modify the property’s overlay designation to agricultural; the meeting record did not include an ordinance number or additional permit conditions.
