Greene County commissioners approve routine business, declare surplus property and move to executive session

The Greene County Board of Commissioners on March 20 approved routine administrative items including meeting minutes, vouchers and transfers, declared several vehicles and pieces of equipment surplus for sale via internet auction, and voted to enter executive session under Ohio law to consider personnel matters.

The board first voted to approve the minutes as submitted and then approved work-session minutes. Commissioners then approved vouchers (including the replacement of one ARPA check) and a short list of routine transfers. Following those approvals, the board passed a resolution declaring specified county vehicles and other personal property obsolete and authorized sale by internet auction via govdeals.com. The board then voted to enter executive session “to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official pursuant to ORC section 121.22.” A roll-call vote to go into executive session passed and the board left the public meeting; after the executive session they returned to the regular meeting and adjourned with no further public action announced.
