"This is a Type 1 annexation out of Franklin Township in City Of Springboro," a county staff member said during the discussion.
The change was described as aligning local service and corporate limits related to fire and other services in the area. Commissioners conducted a roll‑call vote; Mr. Grossman, Mrs. Jones and Mr. Young each recorded "yes," and the resolution passed.
Because the filing included the city's authenticated legislation, county legal counsel told the board it was required to approve the change and that the action does not create a county debt or obligation.
The board moved on to subsequent agenda items after the vote; the resolution will be carried into the county record and the change noted with the township and municipal clerks.
