Council appoints members to boards, adopts travel procedure and approves consent agenda

At its April 8 meeting the Green River City Council confirmed several appointments and reappointments, adopted an updated administrative procedure for business-related travel and approved the consent agenda.
Mayor Pete Russ announced the mayoral appointment of Councilman Ron Williams to the Joint Powers Telecommunications Board (a board with representation from Green River, Rock Springs and Sweetwater County). Councilman Berg moved to confirm the appointment; the motion carried.
The council also reappointed Gordon Gunter to the Green River Airport Advisory Board for a term beginning April 1, 2025 and expiring April 1, 2028; reappointed Maris Suwar to the combined communications joint powers board for the same three-year term; and reappointed Michelle Schmidt to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a three-year term. All reappointments were confirmed with unanimous approval.
The council adopted the updated administrative procedure for business-related travel on a motion from Councilman Berg. Council then approved the consent agenda; one councilmember announced an abstention prior to the consent vote.
All actions were approved by voice vote and recorded in the meeting minutes as carried.
