City staff told the Navasota City Council on March 24 that work on the East Side water plant and associated infrastructure is progressing but that the recently drilled Well No. 8 will only serve the first two phases of the Altamira subdivision.
Matthew Julian, project manager, said staff has received the East Side water plant construction drawings including chlorination, piping, electrical and generator work and that the pump and motor shipment is pending. Julian said staff measured distribution system cracks for a separate street CIP item and has been coordinating with engineers and contractors to schedule repairs.
