The Sarpy County Board of Equalization and the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners approved a series of consent and regular-agenda items, and denied a motor-vehicle tax exemption application, in votes recorded as unanimous.
At the Board of Equalization meeting, commissioners approved the consent equalization agenda and a listed tax correction (agenda item 6.1, tax correction 17520) after presentation by Jackie Moorhead of the assessor's office. Both motions carried 5-0.
The board also approved a recommendation to deny a motor-vehicle exemption application submitted by Mills Eternal Family Trust Inc. for a 2022 Mini Cooper wagon. County Treasurer Jeff Meiksel presented the recommendation, which the board approved by motion, second and a 5-0 vote. Treasurer Meiksel said the denial was intended to be filed in conjunction with a prior adjudication involving the residents and cited co-mingling concerns.
After the equalization matters, the Board of Commissioners convened and approved the commissioners' consent agenda by a 5-0 vote. No members of the public spoke during the public-comment periods preceding the agendas.
