Board approves Williamson Act contract modification tied to lot line adjustment
Summary
After a public hearing with no public comment, supervisors approved a partial rescission and re-entry of a Williamson Act land conservation contract to accommodate a lot line adjustment; staff said acreage under contract remains unchanged.
The Board conducted a public hearing and voted April 1 to partially rescind Land Conservation (Williamson) Act contract number 304 and simultaneously enter into a new Williamson Act contract number 2101 to accommodate Lot Line Adjustment 24-01.
Planner Yesenia Carufa of the Community Development Agency told the Board the adjustment shifts boundaries between two parcels, one currently under a Williamson Act contract and one not. Carufa said the new contract will preserve 97.35 acres under restriction, a net-zero change in acres encumbered, and that the property will remain in agricultural use.
Carufa recommended the Board find the modification categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act and adopt the resolution partially rescinding contract 304 and entering contract 2101. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.
The Board voted unanimously to approve the contract modification and resolution.
