Sumner County delays overhaul of bariatric surgery program, asks staff for HIPAA review and guardrails

Sumner County commissioners discussed whether to amend or rescind the county's non-experimental gastric sleeve and gastric bypass surgery program and decided not to rebuild the program at the meeting. One board member moved to keep the program provided staff would return with ideas and suggestions on how to improve implementation; that motion was seconded.
