Braintree High schedules Wellness Week April 14–17; seniors completed 'Bridal for Life' exercise

The committee heard an overview of upcoming student events at Braintree High School, including a planned Wellness Week the week of April 14–17 that will feature a wellness walk, a health fair, a speaker and nutrition programming.
"It's an exciting new initiative at the high school," said Ms. Lee during the communications section of the meeting. She outlined the schedule: a wellness walk on Monday, April 14; a health fair in the gymnasium on April 15; a speaker, Kathy Sullivan, on April 16 discussing the dangers of alcohol and decision-making; and a nutrition focus with the district food services staff on April 17.
Ms. Lee also highlighted recent student activities across the district, including "Bridal for Life," a March event in which seniors are assigned budgets and life scenarios to practice financial decision-making; she thanked local businesses and community members who supported the event.
Student Representative Bella gave a student report describing Stand‑Up Week and a pep rally, noted she had completed the French Seal of Biliteracy exam, and promoted the high school's spring musical, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, scheduled for the Mother's Day weekend, May 9–11. Bella also said the National Honor Society induction ceremony will be Thursday at 6 p.m.
These communications were provided for committee awareness; no formal actions were taken on the events during the March 31 meeting.
