Commissioners approved a letter of support for a Westgate water and wastewater expansion project, submitted on behalf of a special improvement district (SIDC) seeking grant funds for the Crane Village area. The board also approved the annual services agreement with the Greene County Automotive Development Corporation after minor name corrections were promised.
The Greene County Emergency Management Agency generator maintenance agreement was discussed but tabled for a future meeting while staff verifies vendor quotes and whether the countywide generator-maintenance plan includes the affected unit.
Board members updated the commission on a development project: county staff and a developer with Acme reported ongoing biweekly coordination meetings addressing access, utilities and wastewater; a housing committee within the Greene County Commission (GCC) was expected to resume activity with support from the local Board of Realtors.
On redistricting, staff said county-council district lines must be adjusted to reduce population deviation to under 10 percent following 2020 census data; the commission asked county attorney Marvin to prepare an ordinance to be considered at the next meeting and noted the ordinance must be adopted before June 30.
