Chambers Waterfront Park and cosponsor the Scales and Tales kids fishing tournament (April 5, 2025); approved a request to waive the noise ordinance and allow alcohol for a May 17 wedding at Whitehall Park (police contract required); approved the Water Festival request and related permits via the consent agenda; and approved a street-closure and park use request for a March fundraiser dinner on Bay Street extension for Kappa’s Dancing with Our Stars with an estimated police contract cost of about $820 if contracted. All event motions carried by voice vote.
- Minutes and consent items: Council approved minutes for the Jan. 14 work session and regular meeting and passed a consent agenda that included routine items. During the consent discussion staff updated Council on Phase 2 of Southside Park and on notification plans for the Battery Shores stormwater project.
- Executive session: The council voted to move into executive session under state law to discuss the purchase or sale of property. The meeting recessed for executive session at the end of the public session.
