A county staff member said, “CGI Communications is a premier corporate sponsor at NACO, and this is a free service that they provide to all NACO members that request it.” The staff member explained the vendor sends a videographer, films new footage at the county’s request and revises scripts; CGI hosts the videos on its website and sells advertising around the hosted content to cover production costs.
The contract was identified on the consent agenda as contract 205-207 and described as a continuation of a program Cascade County has renewed every three years since 2010. Staff said there are no changes from prior contract versions. The speaker recommended approval so the county can begin revising scripts and scheduling filming.
Commissioners discussed coordinating content with the tourism district and the Great Falls Development Authority for input on what to highlight in refreshed videos.
No formal vote was recorded at the work session; staff indicated the contract will appear on the consent agenda of the upcoming regular meeting for formal action.
